Pramerica Life Insurance Emerging Visionaries is a national recognition program that celebrates student volunteers for their innovative solutions to financial and societal challenges in their communities. Eligible candidates must be students of classes 8th to 12th at the time of the application.

Pramerica Life Insurance Emerging Visionaries is the evolution of the Pramerica Spirit of Community Awards, a long-standing program that has honored thousands of young people during its 13-year history in India. Pramerica Life Insurance Emerging Visionaries continues to celebrate young visionaries, awarding changemakers with fresh perspectives and new solutions to pressing financial and societal challenges in their communities. 

Indian students from Classes 8 to 12 who have been engaged in volunteer activity during the application period, can apply for Pramerica Life Insurance Emerging Visionaries. Only Individuals can apply. 

1. National honorees (Gold Medalists) of the Pramerica Spirit of Community Awards are NOT eligible to apply.

2. Indians studying outside India are not eligible.

3. Employees of Pramerica Life Insurance, or its affiliates, participating advertising & promotion agencies, and their children & grandchildren are NOT eligible to apply.

No, 2022 or earlier national honorees of the Pramerica Spirit of Community Awards are NOT eligible to apply.

Yes! If you applied but were not a winner of the Pramerica Spirit of Community Awards, you are encouraged to re-apply this year! Finalists and runners-up (Silver & Bronze Medalists) may also apply!

No, it is not necessary to be a Pramerica customer to apply. 

Yes. A team may choose a representative to apply as an individual, or each team member may submit an individual application. Your application will be reviewed as an individual and will not impact other team members' chances. However, any applications that appear plagiarized, including using segments of a team member's application, will automatically be disqualified. 

Applications are submitted through our online platform. To apply, you have to create an account and complete your application form. You can save and continue to edit your entry until the final application deadline (11:59 PM IST on February 21, 2024). For the application to be accepted, it has to be e-certified by your school principal/teacher.

Financial Solutions for a Changing World – Your work or innovation helps your community overcome barriers to financial inclusion and well-being. This could include creating job opportunities in your community, helping people in your community spend, save, borrow, and plan their financial lives, starting an accelerator or other initiatives to finance youth-led ventures, and more.  

Societal Solutions for a Changing World – Your work or innovation is creating an equitable and sustainable community that works for the good of all. This could include working on environmental issues, racial justice, educational challenges, and more. 

After the application deadline (11:59 PM IST on February 21, 2024), our reviewers may move your entry into a different category if they think it is appropriate to do so.

Applications for Pramerica Life Insurance Emerging Visionaries are being invited from students across India. In case your school has not been directly contacted by us, you can inform your principal about this program so that it can be implemented in your school. You can apply even if your school is not part of the program; however, your application must be e-certified by your school principal/teacher.

Entries will be evaluated on the following criteria:

• Innovation – Are you thinking innovatively to build financial health and resiliency or to solve social issues within your community?
• Potential to Scale – Do you have a vision for the future? Will this innovation create a meaningful impact, and does it have the ability to scale even beyond your community? 
• Connection – Do you show a deep understanding of a problem or barrier you are trying to solve and do you have a deep connection to the community you are bringing your solution to? 
• Changemaker Quality – Are you passionate about making a change for the good of others, ready to show leadership or take action to solve a problem, and looking to activate others?

The school of the national honorees will receive a trophy and the goodwill and publicity that comes with it. However, we find that participation in the event is a great way for schools to encourage and motivate their students to become more involved in tackling and solving social causes.

There is no limit to the number of entries a school can send for judging.

We are currently planning an in-person event in March 2024 in Delhi NCR.* If necessary, we will adjust the dates or transition to a virtual event, including for safety reasons. All finalists will get a fully paid trip to the national-level awards summit in Delhi NCR.

The program will have 5 finalists from the Financial Solution Challenge and 20 finalists from the Societal Solution Challenge. At the Pramerica Life Insurance Emerging Visionaries Award Summit, one winner per category will be selected by our panel of judges from the finalists of that category.

The 2 national honorees will receive Certificates of Excellence, beautifully engraved Gold Medallions, and a cash prize of INR 50,000 each. Trophies will be presented to their school principals. Additionally, both honorees will get a fully paid trip to the international recognition event held in the United States*.

• The 23 finalists will receive Certificates of Appreciation and silver medallions. The participants will get an opportunity to meet other finalists and well-known guests at the Awards Summit.
• All finalists will get an all-expense paid trip to the Awards Summit in Delhi NCR.

It is our expectation that you will use the money in service of your project.

Only 2 national honorees will get a chance to visit the international recognition event in the United States.* To visit the United States, you must possess an Indian passport and a valid visa. All visa and passport-related permissions are subject to approval from respective governments. Our team at Pramerica Life Insurance Emerging Visionaries will try to help you with the visa procedures; however, you must already possess a valid passport.

The application period for the program is between December 21, 2023, and February 21, 2024. You must apply and complete your application process before the deadline (11:59 PM IST on February 21, 2024). A fully submitted application must be e-certified by the school principal/teacher before the deadline.

The finalists - Financial Solutions Challenge (5 finalists) and Societal Solution Challenge (20 finalists) - will be announced in February 2024 on our website and via our social media channels. All finalists will also receive a call from our representatives.

The final results will be announced in March 2024 at the Pramerica Life Insurance Emerging Visionaries Awards Summit in Delhi NCR.*
